Jill Kamps has dedicated her career to protecting Arkansas families.

Since 2004, Jill has served as a deputy prosecuting attorney for the 6th Judicial District which encompasses Pulaski and Perry counties. She has extensive experience prosecuting homicide, sexual assault, aggravated robbery, and domestic violence cases.

For the past six years, Jill has been the division chief supervising the prosecution of criminal cases in all Pulaski County district courts, including Little Rock District Court.  Jill also supervises and prosecutes cases in Perry County.

One of Jill’s major accomplishments was her role in the creation of the Little Rock District Court Mental Health Specialty Court which helps people with mental health conditions in the criminal court system by providing treatment options and reducing recidivism.

Jill has been an attorney for twenty years and is a member of the Pulaski County Bar Association. She has been an adjunct professor of trial advocacy and a frequent panelist at the UALR Bowen School of Law.  She has also been a regular instructor for the Little Rock and North Little Rock Police Departments, training new police officers in basic criminal law and court procedure.

Jill Kamps was born and raised in Little Rock, attended its public schools, and graduated from Little Rock Central High School. She received her undergraduate degree from Westminster College and her juris doctorate from the UALR Bowen School of Law.

Jill, and her husband David, also an attorney, live in Little Rock with their two daughters.
